Measles Rubella Supplementary Immunisation Activity (MR SIA)

In 1998, there were approximately one million deaths from measles, which resulted in the loss of 2,410 children each day and 100 children every hour in nationwide. In response, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has decided to implement the Nationwide Measles Rubella Supplementary Immunization Activity (MR SIA) in 2024 to prevent outbreaks of this disease in Malaysia.

Measles Rubella Supplementary Immunization Activity (MR SIA) is a special vaccination campaign aimed at providing additional protection to children against measles and rubella, both of which can cause serious health problems. Even if your child has already received their routine vaccinations, the MR SIA campaign is a way to ensure that no child is left unprotected

ProtectHealth is committed on supporting the Ministry of Health (MOH) by organizing and implementing the outsourced vaccination program in collaboration with private medical practitioners (PMPs), ensuring comprehensive coverage and effective management of this critical public health initiative.
