We’re hiring a Head of Corporate Communication to lead and implement our communication strategy. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute ProtectHealth’s communication plans to enhance brand image and support organisational objectives.

  2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, ora related field, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Working experience in a not-for-profit organisation will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of advocacy strategies to influence healthcare policy at all levels.

  • Help prepare policy briefs, position statements, and advocacy materials to aid ProtectHealth’s advocacy efforts.

This role is also responsible for locating, negotiating, and contracting the best healthcare service/solution providers while considering aspects such as quality of care, value for money, and the ability of healthcare providers to respond quickly to changing market demands and health needs. Additionally, the role requires project management skills in the deployment of healthcare programs, plans, and schemes where good knowledge and understanding of healthcare service provision, contracting processes, and healthcare delivery are essential.

What you’ll be doing

  1. Defining Benefit Package Coverage:

    • Conducting an in-depth literature review on potential services for inclusion inbenefit packages.

    • Analyse industry trends and emerging technologies to proactively address supply-demand challenges, mitigate risks, ensure supply continuity, and leverage new opportunities.

    • Establishing the scope and extent of coverage, including but not limited to outpatient visits for primary acute care, chronic care, prescription medications, preventive services, specialised treatments, and health aid equipment.

    • Manage all phases of sourcing healthcare service provider(s) and supplier(s),ensuring accountability and efficiency.

  2. Cost Containment:

    • Assisting in the decision-making process for cost-sharing mechanisms such as deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance, which impact the financial responsibility of beneficiaries.

    • Conduct cost and/or price analysis to safeguard against paying unreasonable prices and negotiate favourable business terms and conditions. Coordinate all legal terms and conditions with the appropriate corporate legal representatives.

    • Assist in producing budgets and cost reviews and ensure cost savings after reviewing the department’s information and data analysis available to enable the company’s operational efficiency.

  • Stay up-to-date with healthcare laws and industry regulations to ensure providers conform to all statutory and contractual requirements.
  • Oversee a team of executives and non-executives in the Provider Evaluation Unit,ensuring smooth operations and resolving any personnel issues.
  • Manage approved provider and vendor lists (APL & AVL) and ensure compliance with external provider policies.
