
In line with the Ministry of Health Malaysia’s ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare services, ProtectHealth Corporation has been entrusted with the responsibility of implementing non-communicable disease management (NCD) benefit package. This strategic initiative aims to address the increasing NCDs trend and demands in Malaysia’s current healthcare setting effectively and equitably.
Through this programme, we aim to promote family doctor concept via the NCD management programme and ensure continous care from prevent to detection to treatment among the B40 population.
This strategic partnership has the potential to significantly enhance patient outcomes, contributing to the overall advancement of the national healthcare system. By addressing key challenges in NCD management, ProtectHealth Corporation plays a crucial role in fostering a healthier and more accessible healthcare environment for all Malaysians.
NCD Programme: 10 Districts Registration
The NCD Management Programme is a government healtcare initiative by the Ministry of Health for Malaysia’s low-income (B40) group, focusing on managing non-communicable diseases (NCDs) detected during health screening. This programme will offer providers the opportunity to support the community in obtaining a better outcome while managing their non-communicable disease (NCDs).
Malaysian citizens aged 40 and above who are a recipient of the Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) and their spouses will be eligible if they are newly diagnosed with NCDs – Diabetes Mellitus (DM). Once agreed to be enrolled onto the NCD Management Programme, the beneficiary can receive treatment at registered private clinics within the 10 designated districts, as listed below.

- Gombak, Selangor
- Hulu Langat, Selangor
- Petaling, Selangor
- Klang, Selangor
- Johor Bahru, Johor
- Kinta, Perak
- Timur Laut, Pulau Pinang
- Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
- Kuching, Sarawak
What are the requirements to Register as Our Laboratory Partner?
- The laboratory must be registered under Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) as “Provision of Medical Laboratory Services”
- The laboratory facility must be equipped with a telephone line, internet access, computers and printers.
- A Person-IN-charge for the programme
- A Laboratory Manager for operational of the laboratory
What are the documents required for the submission of Request for Proposal (RFP)?
Here are the documents required for the RFP process:
1. Certified True Copy – Certificate of registration to operate a private laboratory (Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia – SSM)
2. Certified True Copy – Proof of Bank Account (Matching Business name as per SSM)
3. MS ISO 15189 Certificate issued by Skim Akreditasi Makmal Malaysia under Standard Malaysia by 31st December 2021 for all the tests listed in the RFP document
