PROTECTHEALTH ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF WAN MOHD HAZWAN WAN MOHD NAJIB AS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
16 October 2025, Cyberjaya – ProtectHealth Corporation Sdn Bhd today announced the appointment of Wan Mohd Hazwan Wan Mohd Najib (Hazwan Najib) as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Wan Mohd Hazwan has been instrumental in driving healthcare digital ventures and strategic collaborations with key stakeholders in both the public and private sectors. Most recently, he co-founded one of Malaysia’s largest digital health platforms, where he led strategic initiatives that expanded access to healthcare services for millions of Malaysians and over 200 corporate clients. Under his leadership, the platform worked closely with the Ministry of Health to implement nationwide digital health solutions during the COVID-19 pandemic, enabling virtual consultations and healthcare access for over five million citizens.

Earlier in his career at Accenture, Hazwan led transformation initiatives in the financial services industry, driving business strategy, digital transformation, and organisational restructuring across Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam. His leadership was instrumental in delivering service innovation, digital excellence, and operational impact for leading organisations across the region.
Hazwan’s appointment marks an important step in strengthening ProtectHealth’s role as a key connector between the public and private healthcare systems, advancing Malaysia’s healthcare agenda towards sustainable health financing and equitable access to care.
Hazwan Najib holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Global Healthcare Leadership from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science & Finance (Distinction) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
